OHS provides free, convenient care to employees to help reduce workplace injuries and improve the health and safety of our employees. This includes preventative care as well as first aid and treatment following an injury or illness.

Research Occupational Health Specialty Service
Anyone exposed to a chemical, biological, radiological or other toxic agent in a laboratory should call the Exposure Response Call Center at: 866-360-8100. A physician specializing in toxicology and research medicine will assess the risks and make medical recommendations for you. If you need to go to an emergency department, they will be available to speak to the attending doctor in the ED if needed. This service is available to anyone working in a Tufts University research lab.

Rabies vaccination program underway at Cummings School for Veterinary Medicine
OHS provides rabies vaccinations and titers to faculty, staff and employees working with high-risk animals. This service is free of charge and available onsite. A series of 3 vaccinations and titers every two years is required for all staff working in the animal clinic, hospital, or wildlife. Please call the onsite OHS nurse at 508-887-4447 to schedule an appointment.
